ESTANCIA SANTA ISABEL
YOUR STAY AT THE ESTATE
Founded in 1888, Estancia Santa Isabel began as a distinguished agricultural and cattle-breeding estate, continuously reinventing itself in search of new frontiers.
In 2009, we pioneered Argentina’s first South Atlantic wines — a bold experiment that has since flourished into more than 60 acres of vines on the gentle slopes of Chapadmalal, giving rise to an entirely new coastal wine region.
Today, Costa & Pampa, our local winery in partnership with Bodega Trapiche, welcomes visitors with daily tours and tastings of these distinctive coastal wines.
Beyond the vineyards, the estate is home to a thriving stable with more than fifty Thoroughbred racehorses, and most recently, to Jōji — an Asian tapas restaurant pairing the finest local fish with our signature white wines.
CHAPADMALAL
A SURF TOWN SOUTH OF MAR DEL PLATA
Where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Pampas, Chapadmalal offers a rare mix of coastal energy and countryside charm. Along its sixty-foot cliffs and sandy beaches, surfers share the horizon with horses, gauchos, and rolling pastures — a landscape that feels both rustic and untamed.
This balance of rural and coastal life has made Chapadmalal Argentina’s trendiest summer destination. Days are filled with surfing, horseback rides, yoga on the beach, and long asados in the open air. Evenings bring bonfires, music, and beach clubs that pulse with life against the backdrop of unforgettable sunsets.
Over the last decade, the town has welcomed a new wave of residents — musicians, photographers, and artists drawn to its slower rhythm and creative spirit. Chapadmalal has quickly evolved into a cultural hub, alive with outdoor festivals, art, and live entertainment.
But its story stretches back far further. Once a frontier settlement marked by conflict between indigenous peoples and European settlers, Chapadmalal grew into a model farm during Argentina’s agricultural golden age. In 1947, President Juan Domingo Perón chose this coastline for the Presidential Villa, cementing its role as both a summer retreat and a hub for seaside resorts.
Today, Chapadmalal captivates locals and international travelers alike with its pristine beaches, flourishing vineyards, and aristocratic estates — earning it the nickname of the “Argentine California.”
TRAPICHE COSTA & PAMPA
EXCLUSIVE WINERY BY THE COAST
At the heart of Estancia Santa Isabel lies Trapiche Costa & Pampa, an experimental winery pioneering Argentina’s first oceanic wines. Just steps from the manor, guests can wander through more than 60 acres of vines planted on the gentle slopes of Chapadmalal, where the South Atlantic breeze, natural rainfall, and fertile Pampas soil create a terroir found nowhere else in the country.
The winery crafts a distinctive range of varietals: crisp Sauvignon Blanc, aromatic Gewürztraminer, floral Riesling, delicate yet complex Pinot Noir, and refined Chardonnay aged in French oak. Sparkling wines include Extra Brut and Brut Rosé, both made using the traditional champenoise method. Newer plantings, like Pinot Grigio and Albariño, showcase the region’s bold experimentation — with Albariño earning 95 points from British Master of Wine Tim Atkin, who called it “the best Albariño in Argentina.”
Daily tours and tastings invite guests to immerse themselves in this unique maritime terroir, savoring wines that capture both the freshness of the sea and the richness of the Pampas.
JŌJI
THE FOOD TRUCK
Created in honor of Jorge Estrada Mora, the late proprietor of Estancia Santa Isabel, Jōji celebrates his passion for fine dining and pioneering winemaking. Jorge’s vision gave life to Argentina’s first Atlantic-inspired wines; today, Jōji brings that vision full circle with cuisine drawn from the same coast.
Serving from a stylish food truck by the winery, Jōji pairs fresh local seafood with Asian tapas — dishes designed to highlight the crisp whites and sparkling wines of Costa & Pampa. It’s a meeting point between sea and land, food and wine, embodying the harmony reflected in its name and logo.
Here, guests can enjoy the estate’s wines in their most natural setting: shared outdoors, alongside the flavors of the ocean that shaped them.
